Shannon Hale's The Actor & The Housewife Release

Do you remember me in a yellow dress next to Colin Firth last summer? Thanks to Shannon Hale's newest novel The Actor & The Housewife Colin has made yet another appearance at Kings English bookstore for the book signing event.Shannon Hale's book signing event are just that events! She blogged to her fans to come wearing aprons for a chance to win prize, my friends and I didn't win a book or a Nacho Libre DVD for our aprons, but we did win a big smile from Shannon Hale when we presented her with her very own "Cullenary Expert" Apron.
During the waiting period between the author reading and our turn in the signing line. My friends and I participated in the Karaoke entertainment. We belted out our love for John Travolta and Olivia Newton John with our rendition of "Summer Lov'n"

For all you Nay Sayers this is proof that I love books and authors not just Twilight! Basically if there's a party I'm there.

St. Patrick's Day 2009

Did I ever show you my pictures from St. Patrick's Day? My Mother sure knows how to celebrate green day with yummy Corned Beef, Cabbage, Green Rolls, and Jell-O

My Mom's table decorations are always top notch. She believes in Presentation Presentation Presentation, just don't each the chocolate gold coins in the pot, they are as old as I am!

I love St. Patrick's Day you get to pinch people and not get into trouble.

Family Pictures

All the Beans were in Town and Connie dragged us together for family pictures. Here's a cute shots of my little family, and one of all the grand kids. I have to wait to post the entire family once we get it back from the Photographer. I wasn't' allowed to leave my spot to snap a few candid shots.

Happy Birthday Brett

Today was a pretty exciting day for Brett. It was his birthday. He spent the day mowing the lawn, trimming the tree, weeding his garden and having a water fight with his daughter. (I didn't get a picture because ,well, he would have gotten the camera wet).

Brett's birthday is usually spent up in the Uintahs, but this years schedule did not permit that. Instead Brett celebrated by going fishing with his brother on Saturday, attending church on Sunday, playing golf with his Dad on Monday, going out to dinner with her Mom and Step Dad on Tuesday, and opening presents with his sister on Wednesday. So even though he didn't get to spend his birthday week camping he had a pretty great celebration.

PS he's going camping for a week next week so don't feel too bad for the old man.

Sammy's Wild World of Nature

I don't want to stifle my daughter's creativity but I wonder if I need to channel it more productively somehow. See what happens when my daughter obviously unsupervised and showing off in front of her playmate creates her own documentary of Sammy's Wild World of Nature as the director, actor, and photographer all in one. (don't watch too closely I don't want you to get motion sickness)

One take was not enough, she wanted to keep making movies even after I took the camera away. However, I made her a deal that if she would write down her script and practice it first, then I would be her photographer so she could make her movie.
